That's right, there are calories in fat) But I told you about the recipe for keto coffee with MCT (medium chain triglycerides) oil. The metabolism of these substances is different from the metabolism of long chain triglycerides found in other foods.

Triglycerides are what we call “fat” in everyday life. They penetrate into the cell, where they either burn to obtain energy, or are stored for future use. That is, those extra deposits are formed on the sides and abdomen, from which many are so eager to get rid of.

All triglycerides are composed of a glycerol molecule and three fatty acids. Mainly, long-chain fatty acids are present in the human body, which contain from 13 to 21 carbon atoms. There are also short chain fatty acids with carbon chain lengths of up to 6 atoms and many beneficial properties. And there are medium chain acids. Their carbon chain is 6-12 atoms.

Because MCT oils have a shorter chain length than conventional molecules, they degrade faster in the body and are easier to absorb. Unlike other fats, MCTs go directly to the liver rather than being stored in adipose tissue. The body uses them for instant energy or to generate ketone bodies, which then become a source of energy.
